dc.description.abstractIn this research, a Fuji programmable logic controller (PLC) prescribed in Structured Text program was used to develop the controller for deep-sinking EDM. This controller included the gap sensor, electrode compensation, interpolator, position control, and parameter transmission I/O logic control. The stable region of proportional gap controller was determined by performing a Routh-Hurwitz stability test. Base on the stable region, the optimal proportional gap controller was determined by searching for the optimal performance index. The motion controller and the gap controller supplied control signals to drive the servo motor on deep-sinking EDM to erode a blind hole with higher surface quality of the side wall.vi_VN
