Abstract: The subject exploring and idea brainstorming are steps, that also the important skills should be taken for students in the process of debatable writing. The paper proposes the applying of six-thinking-hats method in idea brainstorming for debatable writing topics. The questions corresponding to the colors of the has will promote the student's thinking ability, creativity in presenting ideas, and the opportunity for learners to draw on their own knowledge and skills in the learning process.
