Research on factors affecting profitability of petroleum enterprises listed on VietNam stock market

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify factors affecting firms profitability with empirical evidence in Vietnam. The authors selected a sample of 20 petroleum enterprises listed on Vietnam stock mar-ket from 2014 to 2018. By using the regression models OLS, FEM, REM, the authors found the following factors as net profit, total asset turnover, firm size, debt ratio, and cost ratio affecting the profitability of petroleum enterprises in Vietnam.
