| Abstract: | The Mekong Delta provides over 50% of the amount of rice to the country, 90% of the amount of rice export, 60% of the amount of fruits, 40% of the amount of caught aqua-products and 74% of the amount of planted aqua-products, contributing around 27% of GDP. However, regional connections have not been receive proper attention: main connecting traffic axes between production and consuming sectors is limited. Therefore, strong development of transport infrastructures is urgent in the current stage. |
