| Abstract: | We see both countries have made economic progress in the similar range. However, when one factors in India's scale - population and resources - smaller Vietnam appears to have done a better job of realizing economic growth after the initiation of market reforms. In any case both countries have seen a commensurate rise in their geopolitical heft over the reform period. India today is recognized as a rising power in South Asia. |
