dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the mechanical behavior of symmetric FGM sandwich beams where each component layer is made from different funtionally graded materials and conected to one another by shear connectors is carried out. The finite element formulations are constructed based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) of Timoshenko for beam and finite element method. The calculation program is coded in the MATLAB environment and compared the results with particular cases. Effects of some geometrical and material properties such as the height-to-length ratio, boundary conditions, shear coefficient of connectors, etc. on the mechanical response of the structure are investigated. | vi_VN |
