Abstract: The aim of this work is to clarify dielectric relaxation phenomena in paraelectric phase of composites based on nanocrystalline cellulose and triglycine sulfate. Although the dielectric properties of this material were almost thoroughly investigated, but there has been no study devoted to relaxation anomalies in paraelectric phase. The results showed the presence of Debye-like relaxation at the entire studied frequency range 10' - 10h Hz under a weak electric field of 1 V.m'1 from phase transition temperature in the composite (54 °C) to 90 °C. In addition, the phenomena were observed at lower frequencies as compared to those of triglycine sulfate single crystals. The results were explained by the assumption based on critical slowing down occurred in the nanoparticles in the composite.
