Abstract: Mangrove forest in Con Ong Trang, Ca Mau Cape National Park is an ecosystem formed in the natural process with the distribution of typical mangrove plant species. This study aimed to identify distribution types of plant species in communities and the impact of soil characteristics on plant distribution. The results showed that there are 11 true mangrove species belonging to 5 families in the study area, and most of these species distributed aggregately. The distribution of the three dominant species, namely Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculata and Bruguiera parviflora, in various tide inundations and soil types was analyzed. This provided database for mangrove ecosystem development, including forestation area planning and selection of mix communities for afforestation.
