THE STUDY AND APPLICATION OF KEYWORD-DRIVEN TEST AUTOMATION WITH KATALON STUDIO FOR AN STUDENT INTERNSHIP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

Nowadays, information technology is developing and changing rapidly, websites will also change more and more constantly with new requirements to match and develop. This leads to a special automation solution in this case. It is helpful to quickly test the functionality of the website and further to confirm that everything is working as expected. To conduct test automation, Katalon Studio was chosen as the test automation tool and Keyword-driven testing was the method of choice for performing software testing suitable for both manual testing and automated testing. Writing test scripts in Katalon Studio is not a difficult task. We just need to find web elements (WebElements) and perform operations on them. However, when using Katlon Studio, to install a testcase we need to create custom keywords with the right coding convention in Katalon Studio from scratch. This approach is an open and extensible framework that unifies all tools, content and data related to and generated by the testing effort. Under this single framework, all participants in the testing effort can define and refine the quality goals they are working towards. That's where the team determines the plan it will take to meet those goals. And, most importantly, it gives the entire team a place to determine the state of the system at any time. It can be said that by this testing method, businesses can feel more secure about their online activities and improve their reputation and trust with customers. A well-functioning website will also attract more visitors and increase the revenue of the business.
