DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENTAPP ON ANDROID USING JDBC

Abstract

Human resource management have been the strategic pillar that support organizations for the better part of the past two hundred years. Fromconceptsand applications on pen and paper to recently being implemented as systems oncomputers, bringing Human resource management to the next stage, allowingorganizations and even its’ employee to better apply and manage certainprocesses of management such as information handling, performance appraisal, request processing, etc. This implementation to computers has drasticallyreduced the time it would have taken to go through these processes, andnowit’s time to take it to the next stage: Mobile apps. This thesis is proposed with the desire to create a Mobile app withaHuman resource management system that can connect and work withthedatabase of a Human resource management system on a computer. Inthissystem, the main idea is to give users a more simplified handling of HRprocesses on a phone compared to a computer. As a result, decreasingtheamount of time it would take for each changing process and the need of havingto have a computer at all time. The app is built with Android Studio using Java language and JDBCdriver with database managed on SQLServer.
