Abstract: | This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of different diets on the survival and growth performance of snails. The experiment was conducted with 3 treatments and each with 3 replicates: 1) 100% tilapia pellets (N1F); 2) 50% fish pellets and 50% shrimp pellets (N2FS); 3) 100% Whiteleg shrimp pellets (N3S). Adult snails with initial weight and height of 7.89g and 32.35mm, respectively were placed in a plastic tank with a volume of 250 L (80 cm × 60 cm) and stocked at a density of 24 individuals/tank . The results showed that after 90 days of rearing, the relative weight growth of snails in the FS treatment (0.26±0.01 %/day) was the highest compared with the S treatment (0.23±0.20 %/day) and treatment F (0.24±0.01 %/day.The survival rate was highest in treatment FS (66.66%) and lowest in treatment F (59.72%). The research results showed that the diets of 50% fish balls and 50% shrimp pellets are suitable for raising C. chinensis snails. |
