The study employed both quantitative and qualitative data, collected from 100 third-year student participants, majoring English Studies (High-quality program). A questionnaire developed on the basis of existing literature relevant to the topic, the stated information in the program curricula and syllabi in combination with interview data conducted with two lecturers of literary courses in the program. The results reveal that from the students’ perception, literary courses play a significant role in the English Studies Program. Moreover, in order to approach the courses more efficiently, creative methods including drama, movie making, movie watching, gala shows, and so on, should be organized more frequently in conjunction with the traditional way of lecturing. |
