Abstract: | The research aims to investigate how English Studies learners perceive semantic diversity in reading comprehension. This study involved 120 students from Can Tho University who had already completed the semantics course. A questionnaire was used to collect data and analyze the findings through a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, the study expects to find that students' understanding of semantic diversity strongly affects their reading comprehension ability. The investigation also provides an opportunity for students to identify and address their own reading comprehension challenges, leading to more effective solutions for improving reading abilities in various contexts. Additionally, two teachers were invited to participate in the study's interview section in order to determine the best ways for helping students advance their reading comprehension as well as their capacity to handle vocabulary in a variety of contexts. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute important insights for future studies and help students achieve greater success in their academic pursuits. |
