Fibroin, a natural protein with biocompatibility and non-toxicity, is currently being considered as a potential material in the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. However, limited studies have exploited the fibroin potential as an oral drug delivery system. This study investigates the combination of fibroin with a stable polymer (poly(vinyl pyrrolidone)-PVP), with the aim of creating a new nanoparticle system for application in drug delivery systems. The mode evaluated by Dynamic light scattering (DLS) method showed that the average grain size of the samples ranged from 409-818 nm. The degree of interaction of the nanoparticles system, assessed by common infrared FT-IR, shows that fibroin, PVP and Diclofenac have an interaction. The nanoparticle system is loading Diclofenac by co-condensation of 1 mg and 5 mg then releasing it to release the active ingredients in a simulated gastrointestinal tract environment (HCl buffer (pH=1,2) and phosphate buffer (pH=6.8)) maintained for 480 min. With the decompression percentage in the range of 20-68%, a long and stable decompression time of the nanoparticle system is achieved. In summary, the research results have successfully produced a nanoparticle system from silk fibroin, which after combining with PVP, has reduced the size of the nanoparticle system, besides, it also helps to control and stabilize the release of active ingredients, more determined.vi_VN
