dc.description.abstractMotivated by the fact the breast cancer has risen awareness recently, this paper considers well-known statistical learning technique, support vector machines (SVM), to classify cancer. Moreover, to deal with the uncertainty data, a modified version of SVM, robust support vector machines (RSVM) in introduced with the application of robust optimization. Thus, the nature of classification model in also changed but still could be solved practically. To illustrate the computational performance, our method was tested on wisconsin breast cancer dataset taken from UCI machine learning repository. The result shows that our RSVM has significant improvement over regularized methods.vi_VN
