Abstract

This research focuses on developing a specialized social network for food enthusiasts, a demographic often overlooked in traditional social media platforms. Employing core technologies such as ExpressJS/NodeJS, VueJS, Bootstrap, Socket.IO, MySQL, and Nodemailer, i have created an application with a user interface similar to Facebook, but centered around sharing and interacting with culinary themes. The application enables users to view posts, message, comment, reply to comments, make friends, and like posts. It also supports content searching based on ingredients, dish names, or hashtags. The primary outcomes of this study include a user-friendly interface and a flexible search system, providing a rich interactive experience for users. This application not only fosters connections among food enthusiasts but also opens opportunities for them to explore and share extensive culinary knowledg.
