Abstract: The Tày, Nùng and Dao in Lạng Sơn province in North Vietnam possess a unique culture. The folk music of these peoples has an especially long history of development and is becoming more and more perfect in terms of artistic value and ethnic identity. Being passed down from many generations, enriched and recreated over time, each song lyric and tune has its own unique structure and style. All the songs in general are simple and pure. Like folk music of other peoples, that of the Tày, Nùng and Dao redects happiness, sadness, hope, optimism, love for life, for nature and for the family, and young people's love. It may vary from place to place but all has been visualized, verbalized and widely popularized.
