Abstract: Urchin-like gold nanoparticles (U-AuKPs) vvere successfully synthesized through a rapid one-pot seedless growth process. This method was carried out by using the combination of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and hydroquinone (HQ) as reducing agents. The effect of order of agents addition to the particle size was investigated. The obtained urchin-likc gold nanoparticles (NPs) were characterized by XRD, TEM and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy techmques. From the TEM analysis, it was found with different sizes of urchin-like gold nanoparticles from 55 to 102 nm.
