Abstract: This study aims to provide the information and make initial assessments on the prevalence and intensity of intestinal parasites in the shrimp farming areas in theMekong Delta. The study was collected and observed from July 18th to December 7th,2019 at intensive shrimp farming in Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, and Ca Mau provinces. There were four typical clinical signs consist of white feces; growth retardation;atrophy, pale hepatopancreatic, empty gut or a little food in the gut, and soft shell;empty gut or a little food in the gut. By stained smear technique showed the proportion of white feces; growth retardation; atrophy, pale hepatopancreas, empty or a little food in the gut, and soft shell; empty or a little food in the gut, and soft shell of prevalence of gregarine infection were 100%; 96.6%; 88.6% and 94.6% respectively. The presence of EHP was confirmed by PCR technique in shrimp ponds showed that the percentage (7.9%) of total EHP infection was observed by samples EHP - positive. While growth retardation, and acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease were stood at 7.22% and 0.69%, respectively. More importantly, in the present study, 100% of the samples collected had either or both of the parasites such as single and dual infection with gregarine and EHP parasite. A total of four typical clinical signs including white feces; growth retardation; atrophy, pale hepatopancreatic, empty gut or a little food in the gut, and soft shell; empty gut or a little food in the gut which displayed the structure of hepatopancreatic changes such as disfunction of HP cells, hemocyte infiltration and parasitic infection in histopathological technique.
