Abstract: Developing students' self-study ability is a major goal in present general education. With the aim to develop this ability, teacher should design self-study activities for students during teaching process. This article mentions the literature views on students' self-study ability and presents design process for self-study activities in Chemistry education (including four steps: forming self-study motivation; planning self-study schedule; implementing self-study plan; evaluation and adjustment).
