Abstract: The self-learning process of students plays a significant role in academic environment. Thus, self-learning material IS one of the most factors which have remarkable impact on this process. Therefore, it is necessary to develop self-study materials (based on cognitive theory) of digital subject for student in order to enhance the effectiveness of self-learning. The article presents the concept of self-learning material, cognitive theory self-learning material; characteristics, principles, process, structure and the usage of cognitive theory self-learning material in teaching with flipped classroom model.
