Abstract: The article discusses the concept “literacy” in the context of development of reading and writing ability of learners as well as multi-literacy competence. Also, the article shows that multi-literacy ability is key competence of communication of leaners under New General Education Programme and proposes the teaching materials of multi-literacy reading and writing and multi-media for the Vietnamese textbook at primary schools.
