Abstract: Language is a medium of communication and tool of thinking. Formation of vocabulary, especially descriptive words is considered one the most important tasks in preschool education. By using toys in telling stories, children's awareness (about names, characteristics, benefits, habitats and development process of animals), language skills (know how to apply vocabulary and structures to describe some typical characteristics of an animal, name their stories, tell stories with toy characters) and aesthetic (dancing, drawing, art activities) will develop accordingly. The article presents the development of descriptive language for preschool children aged 4-5 through telling story with toys.
