THE SYSTEM OF MANAGING AND CHECKING THE STUDENT’S ATTENDANCE IN THE EVENT OF THE YOUTH UNION

Abstract

Each year, there are many events taking place at College of Information and Communication Technology with more than 1000 students. The main methods of taking attendance are used such as calling names according to the list, using attendance sheet. These taking attendance methods can be time consuming and costly. To solve/improve this situation, A mobile application that supports taking attendance through barcode scanning is built. “The system of managing and checking the student’s attendance in the events of Youth Union” helps Youth Union manages taking attendance during events faster and more easily. The application that allows users to login through available Google accounts. The mobile application helps manage events by allowing events to be created through the event category. In addition, the event manager can add supporters to assist for checking student's attendance in the event. Additionally, the event manager can open or close the taking attendance. Moreover, supporters can use the app to take attendance by scanning a barcode of the student ID. The list of attended students will be stored on the system and exported to file in excel format. The event manager can share students taking attendance file through some applications such as Gmail, Drive, Facebook, Zalo, Bluetooth, Airdrop, etc.
