dc.description.abstractAccording to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, between 2008 and 2017 the gross regional product (GRP) of coastal localities increased by 7.5% per year on average, higher than the overall growth rate of the country, which averaged 6% per year. In 2017, the GRP of Coastal provinces accounted for 60.5% of the country's GDP; the GRP per capita of coastal provinces was also 64.9 million VND higher than the country's GRP per capita, which was 53.5 million VND. In particular, some localities have an extremely high GRP per capita, such as Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (averaging more than 225 million VND), Quảng Ninh (more than 90 million VND), and Đà Nẵng (more than 70 million VND).vi_VN
