The strain Aspen/illus terreus - RTN3 as endophytic fungus was isolated from its partly symbiotic host plant Alpinia chinensis Rose. For evaluation of the productivity of antibacterial compounds, the fungus was articially cultured in the presence of Stapyloccus aureus and MRS A. The crude extracts from the fungal culture proved potential metabolic effects against Stapyloccus aureus and MRSA, Further, 3 compounds of antibacterial property against S. aureus and MRSA were detected by TLC and diffusion method. Quantitatively; from 1.7 g of crude extract, column chromatography yielded 3 fractions containing antimicrobial constituents (6; 7; 8 - amounting to 53 mg, 151 mg and 520 mg., respectively), showing remarkable antibacterial activity (MIC values of 64; 16, 32 pg/ml, respectively).vi_VN
