Abstract

In order to meet the demand from the society for highly qualified human resources, Vietnam Maritime University has put in a great deal of effort to fulfil the task of career training and supporting for students. In particular, through teaching activities, students will be equipped with professional knowledge and skills in the fields that they will work for after graduation. Therefore, the teaching of Maths in general and Probability - Statistics in particular needs to be in close association with practicality, and in direct relevance to the career of marine engineers and bachelors. This article proposes some measures to enhance practical relevance in teaching Probability - Statistics to provide professional support for marine economic and engineering majors at Vietnam Maritime University.
