Abstract: This paper focuses on evaluating the influence of cutting parameters of CNC machines on the surface roughness when high-speed finishing milling (HSFM0 of alloy steel SKD11 after heat treatment (55HRC). at the same time, the optimal cutting parameters to ensure the minimum surface roughness are found through the particle swarm algorithm (PSO). The conditional optimization problem is bound to limit the values for the variables and limit the objective function. The experiments are carried out based on the level 2 orthogonal experimental method according to the Box-Wilson experimental model. The regression equation describing the relationship between the cutting parameters and the surface roughness is built based on the experimental results and ANOVA module on the DESIGN EXPERT 12 software.
