Abstract: The study was carried out to determine effects of CO2 on digestive enzymes and growth of black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) from juvenile to sub-adult stage in order to find adaptive ability of this species to the climate change. The mean initial weight of shrimp was about 0.5-1.0 g/shrimp arranged in 200Lfiber tanks. Sixteen tanks with salinity of 15‰ were used for the experiment, the stocking density was 40 shrimps/tank in 60-day period. The experiment consists of 4 completely randomized treatments in triple replications: pH = 8.1 (control, no carbon dioxide), pH = 7.6 (7.26 mg/L), pH = 7.2 (18,3 mg/L), pH = 6.8 (44.1 mg/L) corresponding suitable CO2 level. Water used for the experiment with pH 8.1-8.2 then the CO2 was supplied so that pH levels reduce to 6.8; 7.2 and 7.6. Samples of 10 shrimps per tank will be measured in weight and length each 15 days until the end of the experiment. In addition, at day 60, shrimp were collected for calculating survival rate; and intestine, stomach was collected for analyzing digestive enzymes (amylase, trypsin and chymotrypsin) and blood also was obtained for glucose analysis.
