Abstract: In the study, seven compounds were isolated from an EtOAc extract of the marine-derived fungal strain Xenomyrothecium sp. IMBC-FP2.11, including (3R,4R)-4-hydroxymellein (1), (3R,4S)-4-hydroxymellein (2), trans-3,4-dihydro-3,4,8-rihydroxynaphtalen-l(2H)-one (3), (3S)-64-hydroxy-8-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-isochroman (4), 8-hydroxy-6-methyl-9-oxo-9H-xanthene-1 -carboxylate (5), TMC-256A1 (6), and ω-hydroxyemodin (7). Their chemical structures were elucidated by detailed analysis of the 1D and 2D NMR and mass spectra as well as comparison with those of the previously reported compounds. This is the first case to report the chemical profile of a Xenomyrothecium fungal strain.
